Better nutrition in the workplace can raise productivity, reduce sick days, and cut the number of accidents, according to a study by the International Labor Office of the United Nations.

The study looked at workplace nutrition around the globe, finding that excess weight and obesity in industrialised nations is costing countries up to 20 per cent in lost productivity.

But improving the nutrition and thus health of your company's personnel is not simply about dealing with the immediate problems of overweight and its long term health complications such as increased incidences of heart disease and diabetes. It is also very much about:

  • Optimising concentration - what and when we eat can have profound effects on our ability to focus on a task in hand and overcome natural energy dips during the day.

  • Boost immunity - good nutrition can enhance an individual's ability to fend off infections.

  • Reduce stress - being well hydrated on the right fluids can lower stress levels as can reaching for the right snacks when an adrenaline rush sets in.

  • Improve wellbeing - being in control through good eating can create an internal balance which and quite simply, helps people to be happier and more productive in their working environment.

Great nutrition and great food can and should go hand in hand and can and should be offered in the work environment. We can offer solutions from the boardroom to the factory floor with personalised nutrition programmes for ridiculously busy executives living life in the fast track through to improving corporate restaurants, cafeteria, canteen and snack offerings.

Our aim is to help you to help every employee get the most from their day.
